Longueuil (Canada) – Tettnang (Germany), July 10, 2019 - VIZIMAX is pleased to announce its cooperation with TAVRIDA ELECTRIC, a global leader of medium-voltage vacuum circuit breakers, switchgear and distribution automation solutions. The cooperation combines highly reliable and maintenance free TAVRIDA ELECTRIC vacuum circuit breakers and switchgear with VIZIMAX’s controlled switching devices. This combination will achieve near-zero inrush currents and reduce voltage dips when energizing power transformers, while eliminating destructive transients when switching MV capacitors, harmonic filters, reactors.

Following a series of positive tests conducted in China over the summer, VIZIMAX implemented eight SynchroTeq controlled switching devices at the Jinbei substation located in the north-eastern province of Shanxi, China.
Using VIZIMAX’s residual flux calculation method on two groups of single phase 1000 kV/500 kV 1000 MVA auto transformers, our experts not only managed to achieve results that surpassed the client’s expectations, but also proved that its manufacturer agnostic solution is compatible with Chinese circuit breakers.

Renewable Energy power plants such as Wind and Solar farms are subject to utility grid code compliance especially in regards to voltage control.
